Giveaway Fun!

Digital Scrapbook Designer Michelle Underwood is hosting a number of giveaways on her blog, including one for a $20 gift certificate to Crab Apple Design's Etsy shop.

In a recent post on her blog "This Crazy Life," Michelle made it super easy for readers to submit multiple entries for her giveaway. She put lots of effort into composing a review of one of my products, the Hootie Hoot Owl Organizer.

I am impressed and grateful to her for dedicating the time and energy to make such a thoughtful post about my company. She is really helping to get the word out about Crab Apple Designs.

About Michelle: she designs digital scrapbook kits for my favorite online paper supply store, Two Peas in a Bucket. If you are not familiar with this store, I love it because it always has the best and most current releases of my favorite designs.

Michelle's kits are easy to download and really user-friendly. I hope to use some of her elements in new line of collages I am currently working on.

When Michelle contacted me, I immediately went shopping AND PURCHASED one of her affordable kits. It was hard to choose just one! Here it is and I love it.

She also has many freebies on her website, which you can find here. The amount of giveaways she hosts is substantial. I recommend adding her blog to the list of ones you visit daily. She has great taste and the giveaway items are handmade and just the kinds of things I would buy if I knew about them.

Crab Apple Designs loves Michelle Underwood! Go check out her blog to find out how easy it is to win good stuff!

Flickr + Blog Heaven = Beautiful Things!

Well, I spent half a day playing around on Flickr instead of doing things I'm SUPPOSED to do. But, I discovered a whole new group of talented crafters and artists, a half dozen new amazing blogs, and some highly-covet-able goodies. So here we go.

How is is that I always forget that I want to make a terrarium? These are for sale in madebymavis's etsy shop and they are so great. Terrarium love!

On flickr, there are many fellow vintage children's book fans with absolutely breathtaking images of their collections. For instance these two talented ladies have an amazing eye for composition.

This is just one example of the mind-altering photos by Picnic by Ellie. Her zillions of similar-themed compositions on flickr nearly made me catatonic with glee. It is the very definition of eye-candy. Send help!! She has a precious shop with good stuff!

For instance, this lunchbox killed me. It's not for sale, but...

These 2 are!

Another talented photographer had me freaking out with admiration when I came upon her flickr site today: Daisy's Little Cottage. Please try to comprehend the gloriousness of these images.

I have a new stack of children's books from ebay and a delish parcel from onecozynest that I'm dying to open but will wait until I can photograph it FIRST when there's light tommorrow. It's that lovely. The things I do for you people, sheesh! xxxooom

Print and Pattern Book Submission

I've been a fan of the Print and Pattern blog since I went full time crafty and began subscribing to crafty blog feeds. It is a source of daily inspiration for me - it's on my BOOKMARKS BAR for the love of Mike. I was *tickled* to learn that the author was accepting art submissions via email for her upcoming book. I sent in these 2 designs:

The competition will be way out of my league, but it was fun to participate. I'll buy the book no matter what. STILL, wouldn't it be *dreamy*? *Sigh* (I like to use *. Deal with it. *)
